The 3*-connected property of pyramid networks

چکیده
A k-container C(u, v) of a graph G is a set of k-disjoint paths joining u to v. A k-container C(u, v) of G is a k-container if it contains all the vertices of G. A graph G is k-connected if there exists a k-container between any two distinct vertices in G. Let κ(G) be the connectivity of G. A graph G is superconnected if G is i-connected for all 1 ≤ i ≤ κ(G). The pyramid network is one of the important networks applied in parallel and distributed computer systems. The connectivity of a pyramid network is three. In this paper, we prove that the pyramid network PM[n] is 3-connected and superconnected for n ≥ 1. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Toughness of the Networks with Maximum Connectivity
The stability of a communication network composed of processing nodes and communication links is of prime importance to network designers. As the network begins losing links or nodes, eventually there is a loss in its effectiveness. Thus, communication networks must be constructed to be as stable as possible, not only with respect to the initial disruption, but also with respect to the possible...
متن کاملAn Embedding of Multiple Edge-Disjoint Hamiltonian Cycles on Enhanced Pyramid Graphs
The enhanced pyramid graph was recently proposed as an interconnection network model in parallel processing for maximizing regularity in pyramid networks. We prove that there are two edge-disjoint Hamiltonian cycles in the enhanced pyramid networks. This investigation demonstrates its superior property in edge fault tolerance. This result is optimal in the sense that the minimum degree of the g...
متن کاملProof that Enhanced Pyramid Networks are 2-Edge-Hamiltonicity
The pyramid network is a hierarchy structure based on meshes. Chen et al. in 2004 proposed a new hierarchy structure, called the enhanced pyramid network, by replacing each mesh at layer greater than one of the pyramid network with a torus. This investigation demonstrates that the enhanced pyramid network with two faulty edges is Hamiltonian. The result is optimal because both edge connectivity...
متن کاملSome results of semilocally simply connected property
If we consider some special conditions, we can assume fundamental group of a topological space as a new topological space. In this paper, we will present a number of theorems in topological fundamental group related to semilocally simply connected property for a topological space.
متن کاملA Survey On the Vulnerability Parameters of Networks
The analysis of vulnerability in networks generally involves some questions about how the underlying graph is connected. One is naturally interested in studying the types of disruption in the network that maybe caused by failures of certain links or nodes. In terms of a graph, the concept of connectedness is used in dierent forms to study many of the measures of vulnerability. When certain vert...
